Spring is definitely in the air.  The daffodils are coming up, the days are getting longer and spring registration at the Evanston Art Center is now open!  I'll be teaching a DIY Toys class for 6-8 year olds. I started this class in January and it has proven popular with projects ranging from sock dolls to board games, all while providing the basics in the elements of art. For adults, I am offering a Mixed Media Jewelry class where needle felting, paper bead making, fabric collage, and beaded wire manipulation will be covered.  A great class for beginners or those experienced who want to broaden their material range.

This January I was at the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Trade Show where I competed in the LIVE T-Shirt REMIX Contest sponsored by Westcott Brand®.  Check out the scissors! That's me on the left sporting the "Hi" hat with fellow artists Cindi Bisson, Becky Conley, and Marisa Pawelko.   While at CHA I also participated in my first flash mob!  I got my groove thing going (along with 99 others) to the song "She's Crafty'' where we helped generate $1000 for Charity Wings.
